Sorry I’ve been away for a long time. While I have been focusing on healing from my past scars, I’ve also been focusing on my physical health and getting tested for lupus.
This next story I’m going to share with you all is about my almost kidnapping story. I guess in a way I will never know what his intentions were when chasing me, but this is my story:
Swinging at the park to take a break from all my worries.
My late teen years carried many lessons throughout its journey.
As I was staring up at the sky, I realized just how silent it all was.
I didn’t see any children, I decided to take a pause.
I realized there was only one other person who was nearby.
He was staring right at me… With his fists clenched, tough guy.
He blocked the only exit, I promptly stopped swinging to find a way out.
He followed close behind me, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Maybe he isn’t following me, so I started to pick different routes.
I saw a random family and decided to sit next to them for safety.
Even then, he sat at the nearest bench still staring at me crazy.
The family was packing up. I needed a plan, my car was so far away.
He got up to go to the restroom, kept looking back as if I were prey.
As he rounded the corner, I thought this is my chance and said a quick prayer.
I had to run passed the restrooms to get to my car, so I began to mentally prepare.
If I just sprint, he would not dare chase after me.
I was wrong, he did not want for me to be free.
As I rounded the corner, I was spotted by him and was chased.
While I was running as fast as I could to my car, he was running as fast as he could for me… we raced.
Once I got in and locked my door, he looked defeated… as if all of his efforts were after all wasted.
As I was driving off I looked back at him… With his fists clenched, tough guy.
I’m still working on some more poems. Posting back to back previously took a lot of creative energy! Haha, but thanks for all of those who stuck around. ❤️
